There is one question we hear all the time.<\/p>\n

“Which is the best beach in Menorca?”<\/em><\/p>\n

The answer is always a little disappointing.<\/p>\n

Because there is no such thing.<\/p>\n

What does exist is the best beach for today<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The wind rules Menorca.<\/p>\n

It knows every corner of the island far better than any map.<\/p>\n

One day, the north coast offers a perfectly calm sea while waves roll into the south.<\/p>\n

The next day, the exact opposite happens.<\/p>\n

Menorcans do not choose a beach out of habit.<\/p>\n

They choose it by looking at the sky.<\/p>\n

And that small detail completely changes the experience.<\/p>\n

The old llocs<\/em>, Menorca\u2019s traditional farmsteads, are far more than buildings.<\/p>\n

When the sea seems completely still.<\/p>\n

When the first light brushes the cliffs.<\/p>\n

When the only person you meet is an early-morning swimmer.<\/p>\n

Or at the end of the day.<\/p>\n

When the heat fades.<\/p>\n

Boats slowly return to the harbour.<\/p>\n

People say hello when they enter a shop.<\/p>\n

They chat with the person serving their coffee.<\/p>\n

They speak naturally to one another.<\/p>\n

Not because they have time.<\/p>\n

But because this way of relating to others is still part of everyday life.<\/p>\n

And anyone who stays for a few days adapts without even realising it.<\/p>\n

Discovering Menorca means learning to look slowly<\/h1>\n

Some visitors see twenty beaches in a week.<\/p>\n

Others spend three hours gazing at the same cove.<\/p>\n

Curiously, it is usually the latter who end up falling in love with the island.<\/p>\n

Because Menorca does not reward haste.<\/p>\n
